Top Class Stage Digital Piano & Jazz Organ

As Johnson Ho is the soul of our live band, we do pay much attention to our digital pianos and keyboards. For performance service, we always use top digital piano and keyboard models.

In 2014, we invested money in the Yamaha CP1, which is the best Stage piano in the world (the lower manual in the photo on the left). This amazing piano allows Johnson to perform as on a Grand Piano in almost every venue. It does not only sound perfect, but also looks very appealing (The keys are even made of real woods!).

Apart from being a Digital Pianist, Johnson is also a great Jazz Organist. You can usually see a top class portable Jazz Organ - Hammond XK3c sitting on the upper manual. This organ has a wood panel which looks very elegant and sounds absolutely great.

For Audio Rental, Venue Limitation or Lower Budget Performance, we sometimes use Korg SV-1 Digital piano & Hammond SK-1 .

Saxophone, Drum, Bass and Guitar

Instruments are very important to musician's performances. They allow musicians to perform “accurately” in form of audio. A good instrument should sound crystal-clear and full, which enables audience to listen to every note clearly and comfortably even when the volume is low.

This is extra-important on Dinner Events and Wedding Band Performances.
We highly care about our quality, so we never begrudge the money spent on our instruments.

All of our instruments are from well known brands, they include: Yamaha, Hammond, Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Keilwerth..... We will choose the models that are suitable for your events. For your information, we never choose models that are of comparatively high volume because they could sound quite squeaky sometimes.

Mixer

Mixer is the equipment that mixes the sounds of every instrument and microphone together. It also acts as a Pre-Amp of the whole system.
We have different sizes of mixers that can fit every venue. Smaller venue with a smaller band will need a compact size mixer in order to save some space, while a bigger venue with a bigger band needs a big mixer to give a nice image and impression to guests.

High quality mixers allow us to provide the best sounds not only to the guests, but also the musician's monitors. In this way, your guests can enjoy the great performance with a crystal-clear, grand and comfortable tone by our band.

For normal events, we have Soundcraft GB2R(compact size mixer) or Soundcraft GB4(24 Channel Mixer). Both of them are very good and stable mixers.

Speakers

Good Speakers with sufficient tuning provide clear and comfortable sound which is never harsh to your ears.

We always use Diva Speakers for normal events and Wedding Band performances. Diva is a Hong Kong local brand which manufactures high-end speakers and sells at reasonable prices. Basically, we always use Diva EA-12 full range speakers. We have a good relationship with Diva, and our EA-12 is specially customized for our usage (Softer sound).

We also have an advanced set of speakers which is Diva EA-12 along with Diva 15' subwoofer combo. It can provide more powerful and elegant sounds (and of course it never sounds noisy). This set of speakers can create a better atmosphere for audience especially for Wedding Band march in, the dancing part, toasting and fanfare. It is also suitable for bigger venues.

We also have L-acoustic Arcs Speakers for venues that are of exhibition size or clients who want perfect sound (and have more budget).

Computer and Digital Technology

We use both the analog mixers and digital signal processor as the former are more stable while the latter is more accurate. Together they make a very comprehensive combination.

We also use a computer to analyze the sounds in the venue and it helps us to correct the sound and suppress any feedback.
It is very effective as the computer is quicker, more accurate and seldom goes wrong.

We also use computer to do the playback in some events as the audio files can be interchanged within a second.
